I'm Memo, your personal guide
Hi! My name is Guillermo Espinoza, although most people call me "Memo". I have 15 years' experience as a local guide and holiday planner. I am very pleased to be able provide efficient service with a smile all the way through!
Wanting to give my clients a more personal experience, without the rushing nor the crowding that comes with big groups and larger companies, I now work directly with groups of families, friends or colleagues who wish to discover this beautiful country, together, at their own pace.
With my team of drivers and guides, I will make sure you have the experience of a lifetime - without any hassle.
I enjoy providing information and answering all your questions! My knowledge and love of nature and the local wildlife, as well as of the local people, will give you a deeper insight into the life of Costa Ricans and our environmental treasures.
My philosophy is that a day out should be well planned, but also leave plenty of room for enjoying those unexpected moments that come along and make a trip truly memorable. I am happy to travel at your pace! - stop whenever and wherever required to see animals, take pictures or go shopping. I also love to find out about what makes you tick, and surprise you with off-the-beaten-path activities...
I always carry a selection of refreshments in the vehicle, and while we will make the most of your time here, I am not looking at the clock to get to the next place as quickly as possible. Hey, you're on vacation, pura vida!
Because I run a small operation with plenty of experience on the ground, I have fewer expenses than the big companies, so the cost of having your own personal guide and private vehicle is surprisingly affordable - just a fraction higher than the regular tours offered by hotels and tour operators - and in some cases even lower if your group is big enough!
No sharing a bus with strangers, having to pick up people from different hotels, being ushered around to stick to the timetable... Travelling with me, Memo, is about you and your group's flow.
